We recently took a short flight up North to attend ad:tech San Francisco, the longest running modern marketing event in the industry.
Cuker CEO and Chief Creative Officer Aaron Cuker was selected to speak on the panel titled “The Death of Email Blasts.” Aaron was joined on stage by Amy Michaels, Director of Direct to Consumer at T-Mobile; Colin Comp, Director of Marketing at SOMA Water; and Jerry Jao, CEO at Retention Science.
The panel of experts discussed today’s changing email landscape, including the death of email blasts, the importance of mobile friendly emails, and how to build strong email marketing strategies.
In addition to the necessity of mobile optimized emails, Aaron spoke on the importance of building customer relationships. “Email is not about new customer acquisitions; it’s about building relationships with existing customers because your current customers are your most valuable assets.”
When asked what’s the secret to building a strong email marketing strategy, Amy provided great insight, “patience and learning from your attribution metrics which takes time. Build it up step by step.”
We’d like to give a special thank you to our fellow panelists who made the session such a success and who provided such great insights and conversation.
