Cuker and San Diego-based triathlon wetsuit leader Xterra Wetsuits were recently awarded the prestigious 2010 Best Sports Website WebAward for XterraWetsuit.com. Honored for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development by the Web Marketing Association, the site received perfect scores in the areas of design, innovation, technology, interactivity, and copywriting.
The Xterra Wetsuits site is a full-frame eCommerce platform showcasing the company's world-renowned triathlon wetsuits. The site features advanced Flash animation, detailed technical illustrations, an original branding video, a customized wetsuit selector, interactive product descriptions, and a one-page checkout.
"Our goal with the Xterra Wetsuits website was to build the optimal user experience for purchasing wetsuits online," said Cuker Interactive Creative Director Aaron Cuker. "By adding features like a wetsuit selector and technical illustrations, we made the website into a tool that educates the customer on product benefits and helps the customer select the right wetsuit. It has been fun to see the results and we are honored to be recognized by the Web Marketing Association."
Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association's annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for Website development. Independent expert judges from around the world select the winners by using seven criteria - design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation and content. Past recipients of the Best Sports Website Award include Reebok, the NFL, Nike Basketball, and Prince Tennis.
