A Beautiful Partnership

We recently launched a new site in partnership with Sojourn, a new hair care line from Elan Sassoon, the son of hair icon Vidal Sassoon. The new site showcases Sojourn's specialty hair products and advances the company's ambitious mission - to bring advanced education, superior product, and professional integrity back to the haircare community.

We sat down for a Q&A session with Matt McCausland of Sojourn to discuss the recent project:

Cuker: How does the new Sojourn site meet or exceed the established goals of the project?

Matt: We couldn't be happier with the look and feel of our new site. Thanks to Cuker, our online presence reflects who we are as a company and has put us on the right foot in establishing our brand. In this day and age, your website is the face of your company and we were not pleased with how our original site conveyed the Sojourn brand. We were able to sit down with Cuker, feel comfortable, and explain who we are as a company and where we hope to be in the future. From those conversations, the creative team at Cuker was able to translate our culture into a tangible website. Now our distribution partners across the country have the online support they need to achieve their goals.

Cuker: What are the most powerful/effective components of the new site?

Matt: Due to the amount of science behind our product, there is a lot of technical information that needs to be delivered in a clear and concise format. The team at Cuker was able to not only understand the science in a relatively short time frame, but then translate it into a format that is easy to follow for our customers. The product section allows potential retail and salon customers to understand what product is best for their hair while simultaneously understanding the basic science that is part of our competitive advantage. Once a product has been chosen, customers are able to easily find the nearest Sojourn salon and complete the buying cycle through the user-friendly salon locator.

Cuker: What was your overall experience working with the Cuker team?

Matt: From the initial meeting, the Cuker team was friendly and professional. Our biggest complaint from our previous website partner was the lack of timely communication and meeting deadlines. Cuker was aware of this from the beginning and made every effort to avoid those issues. As is expected with any project of this size, complications arose, but our project manager kept us updated in a timely fashion and we were never caught off guard by any changes. Overall we are very pleased with our experience and, now that the foundation has been laid, we are looking forward to working with Cuker to continue to build brand awareness and mind share.
