We partnered with premium footwear brand OluKai to improve their digital brand delivery with a premium mobile responsive eCommerce website and integrated digital marketing campaign.
A major challenge in eCommerce is attempting to replicate the feeling of picking up, holding, and trying on a premium product in an online environment. We started by developing a user experience that gives prominence to the product itself, using large imagery so that consumers could easily see important details like the rich textures of the materials. We then incorporated lifestyle imagery and storytelling to portray the brand story and values behind the product.
From the beginning, we designed the website and eCommerce experience with a mobile first approach, leveraging responsive design for optimal delivery across all devices. We also developed an advanced dealer locator that detects the user’s exact location when using a mobile device and lists the closest retailers in order to help drive foot traffic to OluKai brick and mortar retailers.
In addition to improving the website, we developed a comprehensive supporting digital strategy to drive targeted traffic and increase OluKai’s brand exposure online. We leveraged search marketing to drive traffic, enhance brand exposure, and send consumers to retail, which then allowed OluKai to compete with the largest brands in their space. We also developed a remarketing campaign that leverages mobile optimized emails to deliver compelling product stories and inspire consumers to engage with the brand.
