Sony partnered with Cuker to develop a digital strategy for the launch of two new products and accessory line. Sony, a global leader in consumer electronics turned to Cuker to concept and launch disruptive digital campaigns driving awareness and increasing market share for their cornerstone products.

The Goal

Collaborating with the Sony team, our goal was to develop a digital campaign strategy that would boost consumer engagement, drive trial, and generate buzz for these new innovative products.

The Approach

To launch the new a7, Sony leveraged strategic relationships to run a digital campaign where shoppers could visit retail locations and try out the new camera. We built the digital strategy, featuring a website that guided photographers to participating locations, broadcasted a contest for the best images produced with the new a7, and engaged visitors to ‘join the a7 experience’.

We also developed a fun carnival-like Android app to promote Sony’s newest waterproof smartphone, the Xperia Z. Our exciting new game app was demonstrated at malls around the country exclusively on Sony’s sleek, innovative, and durable smartphone.

As an extension of our long term partnership with Sony, they also asked Cuker to build out the digital assets and website for their Proforma line of TV accessories.
